Group Break Rules
Rules & Information
1. General information on group breaks
The products offered here are so-called Group Breaks. During a Group Break, you only receive the cards from the boxes/characters/names/etc. that are assigned to you in that particular break. There is a chance of receiving very nice cards, but also of coming away empty-handed. There is no guarantee for special cards from the boxes or for receiving any cards at all. No liability is assumed for the condition of the cards drawn. Production errors are the responsibility of the respective manufacturer and must be resolved directly with them. Refunds are therefore excluded. Please ensure that you agree to these terms and conditions before purchasing. By purchasing a spot, you declare that you have read and understood the rules for Group Breaks and expressly agree to all of the stated rules.
2. Procedure & Participation
When do the breaks take place? Once a break is sold out, the date, time, and location will be announced on our website, YouTube, and Instagram. Any changes or delays will be announced there in a timely manner.
We reserve the right to adjust dates at any time without notice.
Where will the breaks be shown? All breaks will be broadcast live on our YouTube channel "Madgems." The recording will remain permanently available.
3. Break variations
Random Team (Random Spot):
Before the break, a publicly visible random process takes place in the live stream.
- All participant names and spot names are listed separately.
- Two virtual dice determine the number of shuffles.
- The names and spots are then merged and displayed or noted in the video description.
- Errors may lead to repetition (depending on the extent).
- The entire process can be tracked via random.org.
- We reserve the right to change the random procedure without notice.
Pick Your Spot (PYS):
In PYS, you select your desired spot (character, name, etc.) in advance and receive all the cards for that spot. There is no random selection process.
Spot exchange:
After the random selection, you'll have approximately five minutes to swap your spot with other participants in the live chat. A swap will only be completed if both parties agree.
4. Cards & Shipping
Which cards are sent?
By default, all cards are sent unless otherwise stated.
Card packaging & protection:
- High-quality cards, autographs and memorabilia cards are sleeved and packed in toploaders or, if required, in magnetic holders.
- All remaining cards come in team bags and are shipped together in a protected manner.
- What is considered “high quality” is at our discretion.
Shipping methods:
- Germany: DHL small parcel or DHL parcel (padded).
- EU countries: DHL Warenpost International (with tracking) or DHL Paket International.
- Shipping usually takes place 5-7 days after the stream – if necessary, also collected over several breaks.
Shipping problems:
If shipments are lost or damaged, we will endeavor to assist. However, we are not liable for errors made by the shipping provider.
5. Special cases during the break
Missing box content:
It may happen that boxes do not contain all the advertised contents (e.g., missing autographs). Since manufacturers do not provide a guarantee for this, we cannot offer replacements.
Expired redemptions: These may still be accepted by the manufacturer with some luck, but there is no guarantee. The buyer decides whether to redeem the redemptions and is responsible for doing so.
Cards without a clear spot assignment: Random allocation or logical allocation at discretion.
Cards with multiple spot assignments: These are randomly assigned to one of the teams, e.g., by rolling the dice – live on the stream.
Panini Points or similar rewards: Will be randomly drawn among all participants, e.g., via random.org or a similar method.
6. Break is not full?
If a break doesn't fill up or fills up very slowly, we reserve the right to cancel it. In this case, your payment will of course be fully refunded. Please understand that some breaks may take one to two weeks or longer to fill up.
